I just wanted to say...

(just realised my nail varnish matches the post-it note!)

... a huge thank you and hello to all my followers, old and new.
I can't possibly avoid sounding too cheesey, but it really does mean a lot to me that you like my little blog enough to click the follow button. I know I'm a bloomin' idiot for only just discovering and putting a follow button up after over a year of blogging, but you live and learn, right?! I know blogging is not all about how many people follow you, but it is nice to know someone out there is reading my ramblings. It did come as a (wonderful) surprise to me when people actually started following me when I finally managed to put my follow button up!

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is thank you for all your lovely comments and tweets, it's really encouraging, I read and appreciate every single one. Every single one of you who I have spoken with have been lovely, and I do always go and have a nosey at new followers blogs too, and anyone who leaves a comment :)
I'm planning on a little give away next week to show my thanks, I've bought a couple of little treats from Topshop today, I did try to pick things I thought were pretty universal. So, keep your eyes peeled. I hope some of you actually enter, I don't want to host the lamest giveaway ever...

Have an awesome weekend everyone!

Youtube#3 How I do My Daily Make-up

Hello darlings. So far my day in the office has consisted of nail painting, sweet chilli sauce (I'm obsessed with it, I even had it with my egg sandwich) and reading a new book called The White Tiger. I have major, major pmt today. Don't you just hate being a girl sometimes? I literally feel so down that I could cry for no reason, which is absolute madness because logically, I know that I'm so happy with my life at the moment. Happier than I've been in a really, really long time. Eugh, I can't wait for the hormonal mood to sod off!
Anyway enough of me blabbing on, today I thought I'd share with you my latest youtube video. It's pretty long 'cos I'm showing you how I do my daily make-up routine every morning, but I hope you'll stick around and watch it anyway :)

Photo Diary#3 Do what you love

Hello darlings, have you all had a great bank holiday weekend?
Here are a few quick snaps so you can see what I've been up to this weekend.
The boy got a new orange vespa, I totally love it, but the wind sheild is so teeny, whenever I get off it I look like a Victorian chimney sweep. I'm sure this is why my skins so terrible at the moment!
On Friday night we went to a club called Corsica for a dance. Saturday I was feeling a little fragile, and it was tipping down with rain all day, so we spend most of the day in bed watching movies with hangover food. Have any of you seen 'Being Elmo'? It's so cute, it actually made me feel a tad emotional too!
Yesterday the sun decided to reer it's little head again (horah), so we popped down to Notting Hill Carnival . Such a crazy awesome atmosphere, very overwelming though, and after a couple of hours we retreated to Hyde park for a bottle of wine by the water :)
Today I'm planning on blogging, vlogging, nail art, and baking. Fewf!

xx

We are two atoms in a molecule, inseparably combined

Hey lovelies, a quick post from me today just to say hello really, no reviews or anything as I've been busy packing up my things and moving in with the mister, aaaah! I'm currently relaxing with a much needed glass of wine, fewf!
You'll have to excuse how orange I am in these photos, I think I went a little overboard with the St Tropez last night. Oh, and also excuse how tired/sweaty I look, condensing the wardrobe is always hard work, right ladies?! I can't believe how many bags of things I managed to throw away, I'm such a hoarder! All in all it's been a pretty stress free move (shocking huh?), and I'm super excited to be habiting with the mister now :)
Anyway, I hope you all have exciting plans for the bank holiday weekend?

Wherever you go, there will be love.

Hello darlings, my day so far has mostly involved caffine, reading all your darling blog posts, a sneaky nap that snuck up on me, and of course these gorgeous little polka-dot nails.
I'm not sure if I'll be posting for the next couple of days, I'm packing up to move in with the mister tomorrow. Then we might try and get out of the city this weekend, perhaps in the countryside at Goldaming or maybe France (a 30 minute drive away, why not?!).

Anyway, nails. Polka-dot nails, an oldy but good, yes ladies? You don't need any fancy-smanshy nail art pens or transfers to re-create this look, no siree!! Just grab your 2 favorite varnishes, a top coat, and off you go...
1. Apply 2 coats of your base colour, wait to dry completely. (I used 'Milkshake' by Topshop)
2. Take your 2nd colour and use the very tip of the brush to create little round dots. Don't overload the brush with varnish, it's easier if you don't have much to work with. (I used Nail Tip Whitener by Rimmel)
3. Wait for all the dots to dry completely.
4. Apply a clear top coat to avoid chips. (I used Forever Strong Pro by Maybelline). TADA!!

We are all just matter, that will one day scatter...

Firstly, I'll apologize for not using a photo of me actually wearing this (I know it’s frustrating when you can’t see what it looks like on), but my skin decided to be naughty and breakout today, and I didn’t think any of you would need to see that!

Before I fist used Mac Mineralize Skin Finish, I have to admit, I was a little skeptical about it. I don't normally use face powder (I’m obsessed with face mists to set make-up). I don't really like the look of a matt finish on my skin either, so I didn't really see how this product could benefit me in anyway. Oh, how very wrong I was.

I absolutely love the finish this powder gives me, it wasn’t too matt, it just helped me control excess shine. You’re supposed to use it to set or fix your foundation, but depending on what shade you get, you can also use them as highlighters or eye shadows. I got it in the shade Medium Deep, which I don't think I would use as an eye shadow, but it's great for all over my face and neck. I’ve been applying it with a standard powder brush when I wear it all over my face and neck, and with a MAC 109 small contour brush (my ‘go to’ brush) when I’m wearing it as a bronzer.
It has quite a low coverage, but just enough to give you a lovely noticeable glow, and feels really lightweight on your skin.
It's really highly pigmented, you'll only need one soft sweep with your brush, so you'll only ever need to use very little of the product. I can't comment on how long it will last as this is my first one, but I'm guessing as I'm only using a teeny bit, it'll be quite a long time.
As with all Mac products, it has a pretty hefty price-tag of £21, but with this product, I think you really get what you pay for. I've had so many compliments about my complexion since I've started wearing this, surely that’s worth the price?!

One of my favourite blogging ladies, Kayleigh from Couture Girl reviewed the shade ‘Gold Deposit’, which looks totally stunning. It’s a little more sheer and shimmery, great for a highlighter and eye shadow if you’re looking for a combination product.

Have you ever tried MAC Mineralize Skin Finish? What did you think?

Photo Diary #2 It's what we needed yeah, to have a good time

Hey lovelies, I hope you all had smashing weekends? I thought I'd post my photo diary today, I was going to do a MAC review, but alas, my face and hair just refuse to co-operate today. I'm having one of those days where the last thing I want to do is photograph myself!
Anyway, what a gorgeous sunny weekend it was in the city of London, it was absolutely sweltering. Fewf!
On Friday night, the mister and I cracked open a bottle of wine on our balcony, with every intention of going out after a couple. A couple of ahem, bottles later, we were still nattering away, and I'd managed to persuade him to let me colour in the outline of his tattoo with some felt tips. Yes I am a giant 5 year old. I think it looks pretty cool though, yes? Yes.
On Saturday after the usual weekend breakfast drowned in maple syrup, we scooted off on the Vespa to a jazz festival in the city with a couple of buddies. We detoured past the supermarket, and I spotted this super cute MINI-EGG TREE. I know, a frickin' mini egg tree. Pure genius.
The festival was packed out but totally chilled and relaxing, just lying on the grass with the awesome view of these high rise buildings in the sunshine. This city is so beautiful in the sun, I feel so lucky to be able to live and explore here. We were so chilled afterwards we ended up just lying in the hammock at home looking at the stars, it was a gorgeous evening.
On Sunday I filmed my 2nd ever beauty vlog, minus the alcoholic bevvy, eeek. I'm so painfully awkward on camera, but I'm hoping after a few it'll get easier. I am really enjoying them, so I think they'll be more regular once I get over my fear of being on film. I mentioned this in my video, but just want to say it again, thank you so much to everyone who watched the first one and send me lovely tweets and comments, it does help with my confidence and I really appreciate it like you wouldn't believe.
After the vlogging malarkey, we went to Clapham old town for a delicious spot of dinner, how yummy does this salmon broccoli and bean salad look? Did you get up to anything fun?

It's my party

Hey lovelies!
First off, I just want to say huge thank you and hello to all you new followers. I can't believe I've only just managed to find the follow button, what a dork?!
Anyway a few of you asked me which lipstick I was wearing in my latest beauty vlog, so I thought I'd do a little review for you. On Saturday I was having a proper lipstick dilemma. After turfing out hundreds of lippys onto my bed, I came across this little beauty
Dainty Doll Lipstick shade 003 'It's My Party'. It’s from the Nichola Roberts collection, believe it or not. I'm so bad, my collection is so big that I forgot I even had this, and I've never even used it!
'It’s My Party' looks red in the photos, but it's actually a bright, deep pink shade, proper party pink! This is without a doubt the most pigmented and easy to build lipstick I have EVER bought. It’s he most comfortable lipstick I've ever used and doesn't dry my lips out at all. I can even use this without applying balm first, and it’s actually really moisturizing too. I would even go as far as saying this might be my favorite ever lipstick.
It was £12.50 which is up there with the likes of MAC, but I'll be honest, I 100% prefer the formula of this lipstick. It’s a shame there are only 8 shades available at the moment, I also have Material World and Couture, I can’t wait to try them now. You can buy Dainty Doll from Boots, and they also have a website.
The only thing I didn’t like was that the lipstick isn’t named on the tube, only on the box (which obviously I threw away). So it was annoying when I went to write about it.

Have you ever used any Dainy Doll lipsticks?

YouTube#2 Doughnut Messy Bun Tutorial

Hello lovers, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend in the sunshine? I'll update my photo diary asap so you can see what I've been up to.
So, as you may well know if you follow me on twitter, im slightly *cough*MASSIVLEY*cough* obsessed with my new hair doughnut. I've done this little hair tutorial on my youtube channel for lovely lot, let me know if you find it helpful. Nothing better than a messy bun huh?
I'm thinking of going dirty blonde on payday... yay or nay?

Like no other, you can't be replaced

YSL Rouge Volupte lipstick, worth all the hype? Absolutely 110%. I know it seems like the whole world and their Grandma have blogged about this lipstick, but I couldn't not share my thoughts. Without a doubt it's my absolute fav.
I'm literally addicted to this YSL lipstick in shade 'nude beige'. I have no idea why they named it that though, it sounds terrible, but it’s actually a lovely light pink shade. I don't think you can see the shade that well in my photos, the lighting wasn't great, I apologize for that.

The first, strangest and best thing about this lipstick, is that it smells INCREDIBLE! Like some lovely fruity watermelon concoction or something. I literally want to eat it.
It's extremely pigmented and very buildable. It has this wonderful creamy texture like no other lipstick I've ever used. It can be a little drying, and the staying power isn't as good as you might expect, but over all, a great high end lipstick. Not to mention the beautiful packaging. I actually look forward to putting this on, how sad is that?!
I love this lipstick so much, I actually had 2 (at a whopping £23.50 each that's quite a lot to spend on lipstick), but clumsy old me dropped one out of the window when I was applying my make up. It rolled into next doors gutter and was unsalvagable :( sad times. Good job I had 2, hey?

Have any of you tried YSL Rouge Volupte lipstick before? What did you think?

When you couldn't see, you would come for me...

When I first saw these Topshop Chelsea boots, on Lily Bees blog, I knew I had to have them. Her blog is so bad for my bank balance, seriously!
I do this thing sometimes where I go into the shop, look at the thing I want, leave, and then can't stop thinking about it for days. Then I finally cave in and make the purchase! Do any of you do that or is it just me being slightly strange?!
I have so much love for these boots. I know it may seem ridiculous to buy winter boots in August, but let's face it, we haven't had much of summer. Anyway, I think they are cute for summer styled with frilly socks, don't you?
These were £62, which I don't think is a bad price at all. I usually end up spending at least double that on boots a, so I'm pretty happy. Oh, the socks are Topshop too, I think I have an addiction at the moment...
