Photo Diary #22 The lazy weekend

Hey Pals, I hope you've all had a splendid weekend?

A quick little post from me this evening. My weekend has been a super duper lazy one, involving blogging from bed, finishing my book (The secret Garden), a quick Topshop spree, and (failing at) baking some scones.

My husband has bought me this new camera (woop), so I'm just about to learn how to use it tonight, which may take a while as I am fairly technically challenged!
I've wanted to get back into Youtube for a while now, but have to say I'm kind of terrified being on camera after so long. All my nerves have come back, I guess I'll get back into the swing of things soon?! I might have to have a few practise runs though...

Let me know in the comments if there is anything you'd like to see me film over the next few weeks. If you have a Youtube channel, feel free to pop your link in too :)

Photo diary #21 A little catch up...

My hair is finally growing | Sohos hidden tea room | Fish and chips in the sun | Hyde Park at sunset | Sunbathing on our balcony | Sunbathing at Shoreditch House | Scap-book making | Inside Tramshed steakhouse

Since we got back from America, the last few weekends have been fairly low key, so I haven't been doing my usual weekend posts. I just thought I'd catch you up on some things I've been up to. It seems like a lot but it's been over the course of about a month...

Stef and I had a very British day consisting of visting Sohos hidden tea-room for a lovely cup of English Breakfast tea, followed by some fish and chips in the sunshine on the balcony at Soho House, yum! We spent that evening having an impromptu stroll around Hyde Park as the sun was setting, and snuggled up on the deck chairs in the park for a hot chocolate.
Copious amounts of sunbathing has also been going on this past few weeks, and we've been spending our Saturdays on the rooftop at Shoreditch House (you're not supposed to take photos but I managed to sneek a couple for you), we've even had a little picnic up there :)
Yesterday we started making a scrap-book with all the photos and little bits we've collected since we've been together, it's so cute!
Lastly, we dined in the Tramshed in Shoreditch, a very cool steakhouse with a model cow suspended in water in the centre of the restaurant, random huh?

What's been your favourite way to spend the weekends recently?

Oh, and hello to all you new readers :) Xx

Photo diary #20 The things that no one else sees

An afternoon in the hammock | Learning whilst drinking :) | New coffee maschine | Cupcakes in Clapham | Prosecco in the sunshine | The Jam Tree flowers | Widge enjoying the coffee maschine box

Guess what? We've booked a trip to Las Vegas next month... aaahhhhh!!
I'm beyond excited as I have neer been to America before.
After a couple of days in Vegas we're planning on driving to LA, California and maybe San Diego too. I can't wait to blog about it, I've always wanted to do a little American roadtrip. And all with my best buddy :)
Being a women though, naturally I had a total melt down about my holiday wardrobe. Therefore Saturday meant FIVE HOURS in Selfridges...  fewf! We had to have wine breaks to de-stress from the chaos. I'm pretty sure Stefan wanted to kill me more than once.
I picked up a couple of really nice bits though (I have a super generous fiance, thank you!) from All Saints (possibly my most favourite shop ever) and Ted Baker. I don't really do outfit posts, I'm so awkward on camera, but I might do a couple of posts on them if you fancy it?

On Sunday, after a much needed morning coffee from the shiney new coffee maschine, we went to the usual breakfast haunt for pancakes and omelettes. It was super sunny by the time we finished, so we took a stroll around Clapham common and ended up in The Jam Tree garden sipping prosecco.

My afternoon consisted of  basking in the sunshine on our hammock (with more prosecco, the sun came out, don't judge me!) and swatting up on my driving skills.

Oh, I've got a couple of reviews lined up, lip products and my new favourite candle... lots going on before America :)

How did you spend this weekend? If you have an recommendations for good places or things to do in Vegas and America, do leave me a comment :)

Photo Diary #19 love you 'til the end

\
I said bye bye to long hair | A quick espresso in Clapham | Huge deer in Richmond park | Picnicing with my favourite person | Cocktail Safari 1 | Cocktail Safari 2 | Enjoying my champagne and pear concoction | Dinner in Mews of Mayfair | English Tea on Primrose Hill

I'm a little late with this post, but last weekend was quite possibly my favourite weekend this year so far, so I thought I'd still share a few snaps with you lovely lot...

If you were in London last Saturday you'll know the sun popped out. Sunshine on a Saturday?! Well done London, very well done!
On Saturday morning, I had all my long hair chopped off.
Surprisingly, I really love it, sometimes change can be good :) I wish I'd been brave enough to do it before. What do you think? Do you prefer it this way, or when I had it long?

After  having the chop, I jumped on the Vespa with Stefan and we scooted to Richmond park. We settled down with a rug and a picnic down by the lake and basked in the sun. Saying it was relaxing really doesn't do it justice, I forget how much I love the feel of the sun on my skin :)

The evening consisted of a 'Cocktail Safari', although we only made it to a couple of bars, one of which being Polo, one of my favourite cocktail bars in central London. We had dinner and drinks in a really cute little place called Mews of Mayfair. It's a great all rounder; a restaurant, bar on the top floor, and a club in the basement. I'd definitely recommend it, I'll have to do a proper post on it next time I go.

On Sunday we had a quiet one, just scooting to Primrose Hill in north London for a little stroll and a Sunday roast. I would have put some photos up, but they really would't do Primrose Hill justice, you really must go and see it for yourself if you ever get the chance. A spectacular view of London.

Did you all enjoy that little splash of sun last weekend?

Photo diary #17 Okay Pal

Starting the weekend with a cake-pop treat | At the pub down by Borough Market | Eggy breakfast | Chanel pop-up shop

I've been an awfully bad blogger of late, haven't I? One of the main reasons I've been a little absent is because most of your lovely blogs have now been blocked on the network at work :( boo. So if you've noticed I'm not commenting on your blogs, that's why. I'm having a couple of weeks off soon, so I can't wait to catch up properly with everyones blogs and videos.

So anyway, back to the photo diary, what was I up to this weekend? Here’s an ever so quick round-up, I'm afraid I didn’t really take very good photos this weekend though...

If you're a Londoner you'll know that Saturday was gorgeous and sunny, so we headed over to Borough Market, and devoured delicious falafel wraps and smoothies, before 'accidently' ending up in the pub and doing a mini bar crawl to North London. Woops.
Oh, and not forgetting our random drunken visit to some kind of underground museum... I'd love to tell you the name of it, but it's totally slipped my mind (wonder why?! *hic*)

We ended up hitting Lucky Chip, a candle lit chicken restaurant above a pub in Kentish Town, that I would describe as 'posh KFC'. Unfortunately, I inhaled my food far too quickly to stop and take photos for you guys, so you’ll just have to trust me on this one, it’s insanely good.
The best part of Lucky Chip though, has got to be the beans. Oh, the beans *sighs*. They were the tastiest beans ever. If you ever go there, make sure you order a double portion!

On Sunday I had an ice-cream date with my best buddy Laura (yes, I am aware my whole weekend seemed to evolve around food). Nothing better than an ice-cream date, huh?!
I'll admit it did turn into a little window shopping date too. Surprisingly we were both very restrained, despite trying on a bazillion things in Zara (my weakness) and lusting over lipsticks in Chanel. Fun girls day out though!

So it was a relatively quiet weekend really.

What did you get up to at the weekend?

Photo Diary #15 What a mischief you would bring...

An old Tiffany favourite | Furry headband OOTD | Dinner in a sex shop | Berry pancakes - hangover heavan!

Hey there!

I just thought I'd do a super quick photo diary update from my weekend...
A couple of my University buddies came to London town to play with me this weekend.
We did birthday presents and drinks at my place, then headed out for dinner in La Bodega Negra, a secret Mexican underneath a sex shop in Soho.
The food wasn't the best, but the company and atmosphere were just perfect. Dim lighting, full tummies, bottles of wine, and good friends is a brilliant combination.
We may have slightly over-done the drinking at the next bar, but it was such good fun and great to get together and catch up.

On Sunday we managed to drag sorry hung-over selves to one of my favourite breakfast hang outs in Clapham. I cannot express to you how much I needed these pancakes!
The rest of the day Laura and I spent in bed in onsies with facepacks on, watching movies. Breakfast at Tiffanys inspired me to dig out my old 21st birthday bracelet, I have re-discovered my love for it :)

How did you spend your weekends?

High tea in Fortnum and Mason

Firstly I must apologise for this post being so picture heavy but I just couldn't help myself, I hope you can see why?!

Today my lovely fiance took me for a birthday treat, high tea in the ever so glamourous Fortnum and Mason.
It was such a lovely relaxed atmosphere in the tea salon, gorgeous crockery, a pianist and fellow tea drinkers :)
I think the photos speak for themselves, but the tea, sandwiches, scones and cake selection were absolutely divine, and just the right amount too.
Everything was so perfect and beautiful I was Instagramming my little face off!

The whole afternoon tea experience here was perfect, delicious and I would recommend it to any of you living in or visiting London. I certainly felt very 'Breakfast at Tiffany's', if only I'd worn some pearls. I'm one very happy lady right now.

Oh, and I'm even thinking of stealing their colour sceme for our wedding, what do you think?

Have you ever tried the high tea in Fortnum and Mason?
You can take a peak at their menu here.
