St Tropez Instant Shimmer Stick
Hello beauties,
just a quick one from me this eve, hope your all enjoying a lazy Sunday like I am. I've been having a major trash tv catch up this weekend, TOWIE, 90210, Gossip Girl, Xfactor. Wow. In my defense I'm working for Heat magazine next week so technically I needed to, it's research right :)
So this weekend I've been trialing St Tropez 'Wash Off Instant Shimmer Stick'. As many of you know, I can't fault St Tropez, they are my absolute FAV fake tan brand (read an older review here). This is yet another of their products I'm raving about. I love it.
Basically, this is your perfect quick fix fake tan for a night out, heck, for the tan addicts among us, day to day. If like moi, you don't seem to have the time to mess around with mousse (and I'll admit, I've been so busy recently I've been a little slack with my fake baking), this is your answer.
St Tropez say...
Suitable for all skin tones. This sleek blend of indulgent ingredients simply melts into skin to give you a beautifully bronzed shimmer. Perfect for use on legs, decolletage and arms
What I think...
It's so quick and easy to use, simply glide onto your skin, and rub in. It blends beautifully, and doesn't look patchy or orange. I'll admit, I wasn't sure about the 'shimmer', but it's actually quite discreet, and looks really hot for a night on the town.
I love the stick form, it's completely mess free, and because it's a wash off formula, you don't even need to bother with a tanning mitt or gloves, you can simply wash your hands after application and it all comes off.
Even if you don't want to use this product for your whole body, it's great for just adding a little glow to those key areas like your collar bone and fore arms.
I know most people aren't a fan of fake tan smells. Never fear, this actually smells gorgeous, and not like fake tan at all, personally I think it's a really pleasant smell.
The only bad thing is that if you wanted to apply this to your whole body I think it would be quite time consuming, but since that's not what the product is really for, I guess it's not really a bad thing hay?!
This product retails at £15.32 for 75g. I know for some of you, this may seem expensive, but when it comes to fake tanning, I think it's always worth it to invest in the quality products. You can buy it here if you're interested.
I would deffo recommend the 'Instant Shimmer stick', particularly to you party girls out there great time saver and all around winner!
St Tropez will always be my 'go to' fake tan brand, what's yours?! Have you tried the 'Instant Shimmer Stick'?
I'll be bringing you some Heat updates in the week, but for now, I'll have to say tata
Xx
P.s It's so quick my friend Siobhan and I were applying it in the pub on Friday night, classy birds that we are :p

Things I love Friday
Howdy doody all you lovely beauties,
another random babble post from me. I've had a super stressful couple of days so last night to calm my nerves I consumed a large glass of wine with my Nandos...
Oh and yes, I am that saddo who take pictures of food pretty much ALL the time...
Apologies I am a little camera shy at the moment :( just don't really feel like having my photos taken. Especially as I had come straight from work and had my hair piled up on top of my head in a very messy topknot which shouldnt have been witnessed outside of my own home... oh well.
I also wondered into the Browhaus in Covent Garden and made an appointment to have eyelash extensions fitted, eeeek. There was me thinking I'd be able to skip over in my lunchtime today, but they are fully booked until next Thursday so I will have to wait. boo hoo. This kind of makes me think they must be good in there though???
I've had eyelash extensions before and LOVED them, you can read about them here.
I'm hoping the next set will work out just as well, even thinking of something a little more dramatic and glam, Kim Kardashian style, what do you think? Or something a little more wearable?
Liza Maggs went to the dog groomers yesterday, so she is looking rather dashing. I think she looks like a little baby lamb, how sweet :)
Today I recieved St. Tropez Shimmer Stick, (basically a tan in a stick)which I'm really excited about using, eeeek. What a tanning geek I am *snorts* I'm going to trial it tonight as I'm heading out for drinks in Brick Lane, and need a little instant tan for the evening. Hopefully it wont rain, as this tan washes off with water! But this means no need for gloves or a mitt, excellent. So expect a review on this coming up :)
Sorry for the somewhat rambley post... lots going on right now :)
What have you all been up to this week? Have you got any new beauty products you can't wait to try out?
Hope you all have a smashing Friday night and I'm sure we'll be seeing each other over the weekend lovelies.
Xx
P.s any of you out there Zoella followers? If so don't miss out on her fab giveaway, a gorgeous La Sardinia Lomography Camera, amazeballs!!!
p.p.s how discusting is Vitacoco coconut water?! Bleugh, I thought it might not be as bad as I remembered, it's like drinking sea water...

Charles Worthington "Salon at Home Strength & Repair" kit

#I was sent this products to review. However all opinions expressed are my own, honest :)
it's only gone and arrived - Friday, I love you.
Check ooooout the Christmas tree that appeared outside my office this morning....
It doesn't look so impressive in the photo (shoddy berry camera you see!), but it's absolutely beautiful and was a nice surprise at 7am. You might even say it made my morning, along with the fact that I am snuggled up at my desk with a cuppa, hot water bottle, and a blanket, reading my favourite blogs... I love my job sometimes *grins*.
So despite not really fancying Christmas this year (if anyone wants to wisk me away for a couple of days, feel free), I do appreciate a nice Christmas tree at least :)
Right then, enough blabbering, down to business. Last night I trialed the new Charles Worthington Salon at Home Strength and Repair kit, it retails at £19.99 and is available here
What Charles Worthington say...
Restore dry, damaged and fragile hair with this salon-inspired hair repair treatment. Enriched with our unique Renovoil Complex™, it is scientifically proven to strengthen hair and reduce breakage by 93%, giving you stunningly silky hair, all from the comfort of your own home
- suitable for all hair types and colours
- apply treatment once a week for maximum results
My Trial and thoughts...
The kit comes in 3 seperate steps, at first I though, flippin heck, effort. But it was actually really quick and simple.
Step 1) Hair repair oil.
This is for really dry hair, so I applied it about halfway down my hair and mostly on the tips. It comes in a pump bottle which means there is no mess, wonderful :)
All you need to do dipsense a couple of pumps into the palm of your hand and work through your hair. It doesnt actually say anywhere how much oil to apply, so I just guessed. I put in about a palm full for each side of my hair. I think this was too much, I found it hard to wash out thoroughly, and as I was in a rush I don't think I washed it out as best I could have.
Then you put on one of the plastic hair caps (5 provided) to "accelerate the penetration of oils deep into your hair cuticles". The cap is meant to steam up, mine didn't, I dont know why. If anyone knows what I did wrong, please let me know.
You leave this on for 10 minutes and then rinse it off. As I said before, it is difficult to rinse out, but I think that's just because I used to much.
Even after this first step, I could already feel a considerable difference in the way my hair felt.
step 2) Strenght and Repair Shampoo
Just like a normal shampoo, lather and rinse. This smells divine. I always use Charles Worthington Take Aways when I go on holiday or trips, so this smell reminds me of sunshine, beaut. It leaves ure hair feeling squeeky clean too. By this point, I have to say, I didn't really feel a massive need for the next step, my hair already felt super duper soft and silky.
Step 3) Intensive Hair repair Masque
This masque is applied to wet hair, and left for 5 minutes before rinsing thoroughly. The texture of this masque is lovely, I don't know how to describe it, its almost like a very gentle face moisturiser, light and whippy (that sounds weird). This also smells gorgeous.
The whole process takes a little under half an hour really, although I suppose you can leave the products on longer or shorter if you wish.
Would I recommend this product?
I know some of you may think it's a little expensive for a home treatment, but never fear. I used what I thought was a rather generous amount on my hair, and I have barely used up any of the product. My guess is that you could easily get about 15 or so applications out of this kit, and thats if your hair is long, so possibly more if you have shorer hair and are using less of the product. Good news :)
Last time I paid a visit to my hairdresser, I had a deep conditioning oil treatment that wacked £10 onto my bill, and while this is very reasonable, why pay £10 per treatment when you can do it yourself and it can work out at about a pound per treatment?!
I am actually really impressed with the results today, my hair feels so smooth and healthy. The ends look healthier too. The only thing is that I didn't rinse the products out as thoroughly as I should have, so the ends of my hair feel a little sticky. Other than that, I have no complaints about this kit, 10/10, top marks and I will definitely be purchasing this when it runs out. Great for girls nights in, don't you think :)
Have any of you tried this product or a similar "salon at home" product? What did you think?
Has anyone tried the other 2 products from this range?
Straight and Smooth and Shine Booster
Hope you all have a smashing bonfire weekend, tata for now beauties
x
p.s Chanel have launched their new Christmas collection, I am going to take a peek later, have any of you seen it yet? People seem to be raving about it on Twitter.

Baby, it's cold outside...
Good morning my lovlies,
so winter's finally crept up on us. I can't believe it. Even the Christmas lights in Oxford Street have been switched on, the countdown begins...yikes! How did this happen so fast??
I've been so busy the past couple of weeks (going through a bit of a party animal stage) that my blog has suffered a little... but for the next few nights I'm planning on cosey evenings in, don't you just love it when it's all wintery outside and your curled up with a film?! I am looking forward to Bonfire night though, one of my favourite nights of the year, I get so excited I'm literally like a giant child. Also got my internship with Heat magazine coming up in a week and a half....eeeeek im so nervous!
My sister and I cuddled up on the sofa last night with the dogs and a cuppa, and watched David Attenboroughs new series Frozen Planet. As geeky as it sounds, I must say it was UH-MA-ZING! I didn't even know some of those animals existed, it was rather magical. Did any of you watch it too?
I've been so tired and drained the past couple of weeks, and I've wanted to do a proper blog post but I know it would be a fail. Tonight I'm babysitting for the neighbours, so to keep myself amused I am trialing a new Charles Worthington salon style deep conditioning treatment, god knows my hair needs it, so I'll try and review that for you asap :)
For the time being I thought I would share some of my favourite gorgeous photos today, I miss having super long hair...
