Inimitable...

Hello there lovies,
another week has come and gone, can you believe it?
I can't help but think it'll be Christmas before we know it, and more to the point, my little baby will be here before we know it!
I've certainly been feeling festive this week, which I'll admit, is unusual for me so early on.
Perhaps it's all the lights up in London? Oh and the fact that I seem to have developed a serious peppermint mocha addiction. I'm telling you, it tastes like a delicious sober Christmas.

This week has involved a burger and movie date in Chelsea, a wintery walk home, and a spot of serious beauty and make-up organization.
Oh, and not forgetting that Draw My Life went live last Friday night. It was such a huge project, so that was a big part of my week. As I said in my last post, I am so overwhelmed at the response, I was literally bombarded with gorgeous comments and emails all week. I have the best viewers ever. Seriously, thank you.

I think perhaps my favourite part of this week, was our impromptu Battersea firework outing, as we happened to be driving past at the time.
I always feel so nostalgic come firework night. I think it's because I've always had such good memories of it, and strangely I feel like it's always a real time of reflection for me.
This year was no exception, Stefan and I snuggled up with a cup of tea on the big windy London Bridge, and our little baby Jeffy was wiggling around inside me. It was an awesome moment of complete happiness and contentment.

Jacket- Zara last season
Jumper- H&m
Chelsea boots- Topshop similar here

am still on the look out for a camel colored coat, perhaps with a faux fur collar... anyone know of any lurking around?

My beauty pick for this week, is without a doubt Chanel Inimitable waterproof mascara.
I never go too crazy with mascara as I love a natural make-up look, so my mascaras always tend to last a good few months.
With this in mind, as scary as it sounds, I thought this could very well be the mascara I wear the day I go into labour, hence why I picked water-proof...
I realize that may sound completely INSANE to some of you, but I know I'll want to wear make up, no matter how much pain I'm in!

I ended up purchasing this for a tastey £13,  as I had an unexpected voucher on my account.
Don't you just love it when that happens?!
Especially as I got to the till feeling a little bit guilty about spending so much on a mascara...
With or without the voucher though, I'd definitely recommend it, such an intense black, and really lengthening.  You can never go wrong with Chanel.

I'm not sure you can tell so much in this photo but it really lengthens and intensifies the lashes.

Another beauty product I've been actively cooing over this week is the Charlotte Tilbury Gold Bar highlighter. I can't stop thinking about it. This is very sad, I do realize that.
I'm just waiting for my current highlighter to run out so I can justify the purchase. Is it okay to buy myself a Christmas present? Or perhaps a present for getting through pregnancy?!

What have you been up to this week? Have you tried the Gold Bar or Inimitable?
I hope you all had a lovely week.

  1. Ahh I love Bonfire Night too, I was ill this year though and stuck on the sofa wrapped in a million layers. I was so determined to wear makeup for labour and look nice but then when it started it was the middle of the night and when I got in the pool, all hope was lost! If there's ever a second one, I hope to be more dignified ;) That mascara looks a great bargain, I really want to try a Chanel mascara. xx

  4. Great post. I am desperate to try the Charlotte Tilbury Sculpt and Highlight, I think most of the range looks stunning to be honest.
As for the make up in labour, why not? When I went into labour I dashed upstairs to do my face, my mam came to check on me to find me applying eyeliner whilst having a contraction. An hour after my daughter made her appearance all the nurses commented on how well I looked (all thanks to make up) which had thankfully stayed in place.

    Good luck x
