On your finger, is where my vow will live...

Our first kiss as a married couple | Wedding ring diamonds and my bouquet | Helicopter buddies flying over the Grand Canyon | The best cherry shake | Poolside up a mountain | Santa Monica Pier | gambling in Vegas

You may have noticed if you are a regular reader of my blog, that I've been a little absent for the past 3 weeks. Bad blogger, I know.

I promise I've had a good excuse though... Stefan and I ran away to America to get married!!!

I know it sounds a little crazy, but eloping was something we had thought about since we got engaged last year, and it just felt like the right way for us to do it. I know lots of people don't understand it, but we really wanted our marriage to be that special little moment between the two of us.

So, that's exactly what we did. We got married in a little chapel in Las Vegas one Saturday night (video soon) and the next day rented a car to take a road trip down the Californian coast as our honeymoon. Cute huh?

We stopped off in a few different places, including Santa Monica (the famous pier), Santa Barbara, and finally LA. I think I'll have to do separate posts on each location and hotel, I'll be here all day otherwise!

I must say though, Sanata Barabara is honestly like a little piece of heaven on earth. The only way I could describe it to you guys would be a better version of Chelsea, with beautiful weather, the friendliest people and a gorgeous beach to top it all off. Perfection. We didn't want to leave!

As you only get married once, we decided to go all out and stay in the fanciest hotels we could possibly find, El Encanto and the Wynn amongst them. They were INSANE, like nothing I've ever seen before, there's definitely something to be said for luxury hotels! You even need a map to navigate your way around the Wynn, it's really that big. I'll try and pop up a couple of reviews soon, you guys need to see them!

Anyway, it was everything we hoped and wanted it to be, and we are beyond happy to be married. Oh, lastly I just wanted to say thank you too all of you who tweeted or left comments on my Instagram saying congratulaions, it was so sweet and really meant a lot :) I promise I'll pop up more wedding photos as soon as we get our hands on them!

I know it's taken me a little longer than planned to catch up and get back into the swing of things on my blog, there are other reasons for that, so for you nosey readers out there all will be revealed soon.

P.S The title of this post is taken from this song.
